As we all know, most, if not all, in-person carving shows and competitions were cancelled for 2020 and 2021. The good news is we are planning to reinstate our Kawartha Carving Competition to be held on September 10, 2022. Our priority continues to be to hold a high quality competitive event with exhibitors and visitors. To that end, the administration of the show has been assumed by the Bobcaygeon Curling Club. Lance Reid is chair of the committee that also includes members with finance, marketing, and operations experience. Carvers from the Buckhorn and Bobcaygeon area will continue to provide logistical assistance and advice to ensure that the fundamental character of the show and competition will not change.
Because of the long lapse between events, any carvings completed since January 2020 are eligible for the 2022 show. Please consult other competition details on the website to acquaint yourself with other changes that have been implemented. We thank all past participants, judges, guests and sponsors for their cooperation and understanding and we look forward to seeing you in September.”
